With the 4th of July right around the corner today we share with you a cocktail recipe that doubles as dessert. Granita is a simple frozen dessert in the fashion of Italian ice. Our recipe adds a boozy twist using wine to add a bit of a punch to the dish. Make this up ahead of time and enjoy it for dessert or as a cool, refreshing aperitif.

Blend till smooth then pour into a shallow 8” metal pan. Cover, place in a level spot in your freezer and freeze for 12 hours.
