The Jungle Bird

From its origins at the Kuala Lumpur hotel in the 1970’s, the Jungle Bird is the fusion of a tropical drink with the edge of a Negroni from a good dose of Campari.  A perfect lowball for the sunny days ahead.

The Jungle Bird

In a shaker glass filled with ice add:

  • 1 1/2 Ounces Dark or Black Strap Rum (we like Cruzan Black Strap)
  • 3/4 Ounce Campari
  • 1 1/2 Ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 Ounce Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  •  1/2 Ounce Simple Syrup

Shake until Painfully Cold. Strain into a large rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
