Honey Ginger Caipirinha

Today we offer you a great summer cocktail made with rums second cousin Cachaca. This cane spirit is the base of Brazil’s national cocktail the Caipirinha. Honey-Ginger Caipirinha

In a cocktail shaker glass add:

  • 4 Small Wedges of Lime
  • ½-1 Ounce of Honey Syrup* (to taste)
  • 2 Ounces Cachaca

Muddle all together well. Add Ice and vigorously shake ingredients. Pour ice, limes and all into a large tumbler. Top with 1 ounce of ginger-ale. Garnish with a lime wedge.

*Honey Syrup

In a small saucepan on low heat add:

  • 3 Ounces of Water
  • 6 Ounces of Honey

Heat slowly stirring constantly until honey and water are combined. Remove from heat and cool. (Keeps in the refrigerator for 5-7 days).
