Brought to us from Harry Craddock’s 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book, the Corpse Reviver’s are actually a collection of recipes that were in that time used as morning after pick-me-ups. Times have changed and we strongly suggest working this into an afternoon cocktail hour but, whatever floats your Corpse. This week we offer you the most popular of all Revivers, the Corpse Reviver # 2.
Corpse Reviver #2
Pour ¼ Ounce of Absinthe into a Chilled Martini Saucer. Turn the glass to coat with the Absinthe then dump out the rest.
In a shaker glass filled with ice add:
- 3/4 Ounce London Dry Gin
- 3/4 Ounce Lillet Blanc
- 3/4 ounce Cointreau Liqueur
- 3/4 Ounce Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
Shake ingredients until painfully cold. Strain into Absinthe coated glass. Drink, Revive.
