Today we offer you a fusion of a brunch favorite with a childhood favorite. This drink conjures memories of running to catch the ice cream truck bell for our favorite treat, the Orange Creamsicle. The mix of orange and cream is so refreshing we thought it could well be used in a cocktail creation. Easter is on the way and for brunch we offer you the recipe for the Orange Creamsicle Mimosa. It is a bit richer than the original and has creaminess to it that brings back those childhood summer memories.
Orange Creamsicle Mimosa
In a blender (no ice) add:
- 1 cup Fresh Orange Juice (low pulp)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons powdered sugar
Blend to combined ingredients and pour into a small pitcher.
In a Champagne Flute Add:
Cream/Juice Mixture to ½ Full
Top with Chilled Dry Sparkling Wine
Garnish with Orange Wedge
