Craving something slightly sweet and creamy? Today we offer you the Bergamot Cream Cocktail. It pairs the spice of Earl Grey tea with dark rum and cream. We like this idea of using an infusion of tea into our cocktails. More to come on cocktails with tea, but for now try this drink as follows:
Earl Grey Syrup:
Steep for 15 minutes, 4 teabags of Earl Grey Tea in 2 Cups of Boiling Hot Water
Remove teabags and put tea in a saucepan and bring to a slow boil Add 3 Tablespoons of honey and reduce heat to a simmer Reduce volume by 2/3 and cool.
The Bergamot Cream Cocktail
In a Shaker Glass Filled with Cracked Ice Add:
- 1 ½ Ounces Good Quality Dark Rum
- 1 ½ Ounce of Earl Grey Syrup
- 1 ½ Ounces of Half and Half
Shake Like Crazy! Pour the Whole Deal into a Lowball Glass Dust with Nutmeg. This cocktail will also play well with Bourbon, Rye and Brandy.
