It is something warm to start the day. It takes the chill off and helps one to settle into a lazy “day off” kind of mood. The Bullshot is a drink I remember my father serving his guests in the winter as a “morning after” fix. It gets its inspiration from the Bloody Mary but has a different savory twist by using beef broth as the mixer. Some drink it cold but I was taught that it is a warm drink and feel that as such it is expresses itself better. The recipe is as follows:
In a Pre-Warmed Mug
- Add 1 ½ Ounces of Good Vodka
- A Dash of Worchestershire
- A Dash of Tabasco
- A few drops of Lemon Juice
- Salt & Pepper to Taste
- Top with 3-5 Ounces of Piping Hot Beef Broth and Stir
It is warm, salty and savory. It radiates through you and shakes off the cold. Cheers!
